An all-you-can-eat brunch in the Yvelines (78), in the countryside between Marly-le-Roi and Bougival? It’s still the promise of La Parenthèse Verte, the light-filled restaurant tucked in the heart of the Parc des Granges du Barry in Louveciennes. The place continues to evolve, and we went back to rediscover it. The verdict? We remain just as charmed by this green haven that lets you disconnect and feel like you’re on vacation, if only for a Sunday.
First bit of good news: the menu has been refreshed with a broader selection. The savory buffet delights with composed salads, Caesar salad taking pride of place, seafood, quiches, vegetables, hummus and smoked salmon. We now have a central table to make it easier to circulate and help yourself at will.
Along the wall, the hot dishes are fairly plentiful, spanning fish, meats, and other vegetable and potato gratins. Scrambled eggs sit next to truffle ravioli and a variety of fish, before making way for cheeses, of course.
Pastries and desserts line up in front of the windows. On the sweet side, indulgence is abundant. Croissants, cakes and crêpes accompany a variety of desserts: a towering floating island (our pick of the bunch, with its generous vanilla custard), flan, tiramisu and other tropéziennes. Coffee fans will appreciate the new self-serve machine, letting them top up as many times as they like during the meal.
This Sunday brunch, served from 12:00 to 15:00, remains at €45 per adult and €25 for children up to 10 years old. A solid value given the abundant buffet and the setting, it ranks among our favorites in the realm of all-you-can-eat buffets in Île-de-France.
Another summer-ready addition: the terrace has been redesigned and expanded. An existing wing, previously unused, now hosts 60 additional covers, set up under the trees and parasols. A great way to fully enjoy this bucolic setting, which ranks high on our list of terrace brunches for a complete disconnect.
The interior decoration has also been reimagined. We relish the terrace on sunny days, but the indoor dining room still has its charm in winter. Note, by the way, that during a heatwave, the dining room is air-conditioned, a detail that matters this summer of 2026.
La Parenthèse Verte remains a perfect spot for a family outing. While parents sip their coffee on the terrace, the kids can dash around the green spaces opposite the restaurant and head over to the nearby zip line installed in the park.
This all-you-can-eat Yvelines brunch is aimed at people looking to unplug, as well as families and groups of friends who want to gather around a generous buffet in the Yvelines or not far from Paris. It’s also a touch milder than in a hyper-urban area. On our visit, couples on the terrace, family tables, and groups of friends shared the relaxed atmosphere. To extend the experience, the restaurant welcomes guests the rest of the week with its bistronomic menu based on fresh, house-made products. And what about treating yourself to a Parenthèse Verte?

La Parenthèse Verte in Louveciennes: the bistronomic restaurant in the Yvelines with terraceThe Granges du Barry are part of the historic heritage of Louveciennes. This estate was once attached to a château given by Louis XV to his favorite, Madame du Barry, in 1769. Situated high above the Seine, it offered an exceptional panoramic view. After the French Revolution, the château changed owners several times, each contributing to the beautification of the park by planting ornamental trees and winding paths. In 1974, the commune of Louveciennes reclaimed the park and transformed it into a public green space, accessible to all, with children's play areas, a tennis club and a restaurant.
Today, the Parc des Granges du Barry is a true haven of peace, where biodiversity is preserved thanks to the installation of beehives, bird and bat nesting boxes, as well as hedgehog and insect shelters. An enchanting setting in which to relax over a hearty brunch.
If you're after great value for money, all in a lush, verdant setting, this brunch could win you over. And what about treating yourself to a Green Pause?
