The rooftop at Brach is one of those Paris spots you secretly want to keep to yourself. Perched on the 7th floor of the Brach hotel, in the chic Passy district, in the 16th arrondissement, this suspended garden offers one of the capital’s most stunning panoramas, with the Eiffel Tower as a backdrop, Montmartre to the right and La Défense in the distance. For summer 2026, the venue becomes a bohemian terrace painted in the hues of Provence and the French Riviera, with a menu designed to celebrate the art of the aperitif and sharing, in a soft, summery atmosphere.
In a rustic-chic setting, Brach’s rooftop hides a vegetable garden bursting with fruit, herbs and vegetables, a Nordic bath, and even a chicken coop with laying hens. In this green corner, you’ll find woodwork and carefully chosen furnishings, and you can take a moment to breathe in a landscape that evokes the countryside while never losing sight of the Parisian rooftops. Perched above Rue Jean-Richepin, you truly feel like you’ve stepped into another world for the duration of a drink.
For this season, the menu decisively leans into Provençal and Mediterranean flavors. We kick off with l'apéritif du Potager (10€), a small opening platter of peanuts and olives to whet the appetite, before moving on to l'expérience tartinable (29€): three items to choose from a well-crafted lineup, such as the tapenade d'olives à la figue, the crème de poivron, the artichaut poivrade confit à l'huile d'olive, the rillette de thon, or the pappa al pomodoro, that Tuscan bread-and-tomato soup evoking the sunny South. For those who want to go further, the Saveurs ibériques Cinco Jotas (28€, 80 g) and the Cueillette de légumes du jour à partager (25€, 500 g) nicely round out the lineup.
On the drink side, the cocktail menu (€25 each) leans heavily on original creations. The Smoke Bloody, with mezcal, tomato, apricot liqueur and thyme, will appeal to those who like a bold push. The Paloma Garden, with gin, verbena, rose liqueur and grapefruit, will hit the spot for garden lovers. And for those who prefer to go sober, the non-alcoholic cocktails (€16) are worth lingering on: the Virgin Spritz with thyme and grapefruit or the Virgin Brach with apricot and zaatar are real options, not mere placeholders. The menu also features Parisienne beers (€12), waters and soft drinks (€10), as well as champagnes ranging from the Delamotte cuvée (€28) to a few more ambitious references.
The terrace is open daily from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., weather permitting. The Brach Hotel is located at 1-7 rue Jean-Richepin, in Paris's 16th arrondissement, reachable from La Muette (line 9) or Ranelagh (line 9) stations, just a short walk from the Marmottan Monet Museum. We recommend arriving early in the evening to catch sunset over the Iron Lady—a moment that’s hard to top for a drink in Paris.
Our take: the Brach’s rooftop is one of those tucked-away spots you pull out for special occasions. The aperitif menu hits the right notes, the cocktails are well-crafted, and the view alone is worth the detour. We particularly love the lush, plant-filled atmosphere and the careful attention to decor, which stands apart from the more urban, mineral rooftops in the capital. The hot tub adds a quirky, friendly touch.
Who is this place for? For lovers of beautiful, discreet terraces, for couples seeking an evening with a view, for groups of friends looking for a polished, no-fuss setting. It isn’t the most wallet-friendly rooftop, but it’s one of Paris’s most distinctive venues.
Note: The space can be rented for small gatherings (up to 30 people for a cocktail). Weather may affect opening hours, so please check before you come.
