Les 3 Chocolats is the perfect combo between a patisserie and a chocolate shop. We can enjoy desserts with sweet Japanese flavors made with much delicatessen by chef Emiko Sano.

A store that doubles up as a patisserie and a chocolate shop, how does it sound to your taste buds? Well, allons-y! Let’s head to Les 3 Chocolats in the Marais neighborhood!

For female pastry chef Emiko Sano, chocolate is a family business since she’s part of the third generation of chocolate makers in her family – hence the name of the store! After working at Plaza Athénée and with MOF Olivier Bajard, Emiko has decided to open her first store in the Marais neighborhood.

Her creations are made with much finesse and the choice is wide in the store that is also used as the lab: chocolate maki, fruit pies changing with the seasons (in July: Takami cantaloupe and raspberry), travel cakes as well as shortbreads, cookies and mochis.

We also fall for the tantalizing individual pastries with rather original taste (matcha-caramel, yuzu-fromage blanc); for the 3 Chocolats cake, as light as a chiffon cake – with different layers and textures; and the Titis Parisiens, the house’s specialty; sorts of chocolate bonbons filled with ganache you can choose the flavors of: rose, yuzu, matcha and even jasmine.

Les 3 Chocolats provides modern, tasty and colorful pastries. The perfect blend of Japanese flavors and French know-how; chocolate and pastry.

When leaving, don’t hesitate to take home a lovely assortment of chocolate bonbons with sweet Japanese flavors (sesame, yuzu, soy, toasted soy powder, miso), so finely decorated you could almost regret eating them!
