A gourmet brunch in the world of Alice in Wonderland at BK restaurant (aka le Break)

"I need to bring people into my world," explains Break founder Norah. In her family for 17 years, the place was once a pizzeria, which fell on hard times during and after the health crisis caused by the Covid-19 epidemic. So she set about redecorating the place, changing the menu and imagining a unique atmosphere, to immerse her visitors in the story of Lewis Carroll'sAlice in Wonderland. " Alice is a bit like me, an eternal child," confides Norah.

The menu features dishes inspired by characters from Lewis Carroll's famous novel, including the White Rabbit burger with breaded chicken (served with sweet potato fries), the Mad Hatter's country bread/avocado/chicken tartine, and the Jabberocky, which reinvents the popular hot dog with an "Alice" twist... For those looking for healthier options, salads and poke bowls are also on the menu. "We only offer homemade and fresh products", explains Norah, who has opted for 100% home-made cooking. "I don't buy any finished products, even the pickles are homemade".

Homemade and, above all, made-to-order, since the dishes are prepared especially for you, especially when it comes to desserts: we recommend you try the gourmet brioche perdue, surprisingly light, served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramelized pecans. The same goes for the airy pancakes, served with pistachio sauce and raspberries, or salted butter caramel and bananas: the desserts are hearty, but not too sweet.

To accompany all this, Nora offers hot drinks with colored lattes: Blue Latte, Pink Latte, Golden Latte... These can be printed with a logo or photo of your choice, for a truly unique hot drink. As for cold drinks, opt for Sunset lemonade and its pretty gradation of yellows and blues, Tropical sunrise and its red tones... Count on €5.50 to €6 for hot or cold drinks, €11 to €17 for main courses and €10 to €12 for desserts, which are truly generous. It's time to immerse yourself in Wonderland, without even leaving Paris!
