Villa M in Paris: a unique concept space dedicated to the medicine of tomorrow

At a time when doctors, researchers and scientists are still on the front line in the fight against Covid-19 in our country and around the world, a unique venue dedicated to the medicine of tomorrow and all its players has opened its doors in 2021 in Paris.

Called Villa M, the project will be open to the public from September 2021, on the Boulevard Pasteur in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, on a property owned by Groupe Pasteur Mutualité.

Behind this innovative 8,000 m² facility are practitioners, as well as students and interns, e-health start-ups, learned societies and professional organizations. Among the designers and creators are architect Olivier Raffaelli, renowned designer Philippe Starck, Dr Bertrand Mas-Fraissinet, Chairman of Groupe Pasteur Mutualité, Dr Michel Cazaugade, Chairman (2014-2019) of Groupe Pasteur Mutualité, not forgetting Amanda Lehmann, designer of Villa M, and Thierry Lorente, also creator and designer of Villa M.

What's new and innovative about the architecture of Villa M? The aim of this architectural practice is to"tropicalize the City", by making the Villa M a place dedicated to care-givers, but also a place dedicated to environmental protection, where "Man and his constructions are no longer in opposition to nature and the living, to take full account of ecological challenges", stresses the practice in a press release. A concept of"architectural tropicalism", the result is a veritable naturalist architectural manifesto in the heart of Paris.

What's in store for Villa M? It will be open to the entire " healthcare community, as well as to local residents, travelers and all those who make their health and well-being a priority ".

The immense glass building will feature a number of spaces for innovation, work and care. Villa M, for example, houses an e-health showroom. This is an opportunity to discover, test and experiment with the innovations that will shape tomorrow's healthcare. For the more curious, conferences and events will be organized.

Another area?Villa M's prevention area, which advises, informs and promotes well-being through topics such as nutrition, burnout, addictology, RSI and stress management. Villa M is also home to a multi-purpose gym, open for group, individual or connected workouts.

On the working side, Villa M is opening up its co-working spaces to startups, to encourage open innovation, cooperation, co-evolution, sharing and the circulation of ideas between entrepreneurs and healthcare professionals.

And since sport is health, Villa M offers a dedicated program. A sport-health world with the support and expertise of certified and experienced coaches is at your disposal. Objectives: relax, let off steam, challenge yourself, manage stress and emotions, refine your figure or tone up. The first member of the Villa M Boxing & Fitness Club is heavyweight boxing champion Tony Yoka (11 wins, O losses, 9KOs).

Villa M is also a place to relax, thanks to a hotel open to all, and spacious rooms designed by Philippe Starck. The 67 rooms and 6 suites have been designed as green jewel cases. Some even have balconies or terraces overlooking Montparnasse and Les Invalides. And above all, nestled in the corner of the seventh floor, the Suite Pasteur. This exceptional suite boasts large picture windows, a double green terrace and a living room with a view of the capital.

Paris Society' s signature restaurant offers generous, casual cuisine. Cheeseburger, Tom Yum-style cod, Crispy Chicken, Giant Cookie with caramel heart... are all on the menu. Live music, festive evenings and gourmet brunches are all part of the program at this beautiful venue, which also boasts a pretty, leafy terrace.

Last but not least, the venue also boasts a superb rooftop overlooking the capital and its emblematic monuments such as the Eiffel Tower and the Dôme des Invalides. Festive evenings await you from May 20.
