La Tamise, the 4* boutique hotel a stone's throw from the Tuileries

In the Tuileries district, the Hotel La Tamise has been a haven of peace for British and American guests since 1878. Closed for renovation, the hotel was bought by the Esprit de France group, which owns 9 boutique hotels in Paris, and is now back with a new, cosier atmosphere that invites you to relax.

This private mansion and its 19 rooms have been restored while retaining their original features: stained glass windows, cement tiles and antique parquet floors enhance a modern style punctuated by authentic touches. The grand dinners where models, ambassadors and painters mingled, the "grand tours " of new American graduates - all these continue to haunt the premises.
