Good food made in Italy and a beautiful patio hidden from everyone... We've found a little Italian bistro in the 11th arrondissement that's sure to satisfy all your cravings. And even your shopping desires, since Borgo Delle Tovaglie is also an Italian boutique where you can buy lots of pretty things!

Borgo Delle Tovaglie is the place to go for bed linen, lampshades or... taste the pleasures of Italian gastronomy.

This huge former rubber factory has been converted into a concept-store, offering everything you could wish for a good afternoon's shopping and indulgence: a space reserved for decor and objects of all kinds; and a restaurant area that reveals a well-kept secret for regulars: a beautiful patio.

The menu of this Italian bistro features quality products made in Italy. For starters, there are 8 choices, including the Mille-feuilles de pane carasau with Parma ham and Mozzarella di Buffala (15€); the assortment of plain and smoked Burratine (18€); the Culatello stracciatella and Bologna tigella (16€); the Salami Strolghino with artisanal taralli (16€) or the beautiful Borgo board and its mix of Italian charcuterie and cheeses with pan tigella (14/25€).

We opt for the beautiful 250g (!) Campana mozzarella de Buffala, creamy to perfection (17€) and the Friselle Pugliesi (12€), amazing crispy Krisprolls-like breads topped with cherry tomatoes, black olives and Parmigiano Reggiano.

We continue our gustatory sojourn in Italy with a good eggplant gratin "Parmigiana di Melanzane" topped with fresh stracciatella (20€) and a black truffle risotto (30€), super fragrant.

However, we had long hesitated to try the Tortelloni ricotta and burrata with tomato sauce and salted ricotta (20€); the Mezze Maniche with basil pesto, Pecorino cheese and garlic-flavored breadcrumbs (16€) or the Spaghetti à la Carbonara with Pecorino Romano and smoked bacon (16€). But we weren't disappointed!

And we ended this flavor-filled dinner at patio closing time (9:30pm!) with a slice of strawberry tart and homemade tiramisu!

Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
