What we love here is discovering several worlds of Italian gastronomy in small plates bringing together different local Italian specialties: cicchetti. Venetians love to order several dishes in half portions to share a joyful, tasty experience with friends: from antipasti, to pasta and risotto, to meat and fish dishes, you can discover the full range of Italian gastronomy.
The decor, designed by the Maison Plisson architect, offers a refined atmosphere, with an original wine library, a beautiful table d'hôte at the entrance and a central steel beam structure that carries the room...
It's bright, with a bay window overlooking the street and warm lighting from designer bulbs along the length of the room. The open kitchen completes the relaxed atmosphere. Chef AMER is a passionate chef with many years' experience in Italy.
For starters, it's impossible not to be seduced by the Calamari in Insalata, so much so that the pleasant smell of marinated calamari grilled a la plancha fills the room when it's ordered. Served in its cassolette, the calamari melts in your mouth, and the seasoning is dazzling!
The Crunchy Polenta with porcini mushrooms and parmesan cream, a Kuccini creation, is a must-try for the house. Crunchy/melting, bursting with flavors, it's super comforting for winter.
Kuccini customers' favorite dish is the Terra & Mare risotto, a recipe inspired by the Italian city of Bari on the Adriatic Sea, for a delicious combination of prawns and spianata.
According to the many reviews on the Internet, the great classic of classics, carbonara spaguetti with guanciale (pig's cheeks), is one of the best in Paris.
As for the main courses, we're crazy about the Pavé de saumon frais mi-cuit au sésame noir, a dietetic Roman recipe, with its citrus and mint salad...
Another typical Italian dish is the famous escalope Milanaise! Writings on the cuisine of ancient Rome, dating from around the 1st century BC, indicate that the Romans loved this dish of thinly sliced, breaded and fried meat, and Kuccini honors it in its menu.
How could we fail to finish with a Tiramisu that's fresh, creamy, airy, light and not too sweet, a treat that's a pleasure to indulge in.
Also very typical, the ricotta/pistachio-filled Cannoli is a total treat to try, accompanied by its runny chocolate, which you pour yourself at the last moment.
Starters range from €12 to €23, pasta and risotto from €13 to €26, meat and fish dishes from €22 to €28, and desserts from €10. The loyal clientele and friendly welcome of young Giuseppe and Max make Kuccini a great Osteria in Paris!
