Nouilles Ban Ban is the name of this new restaurant which has opened in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris, just a stone's throw from the Palais Royal gardens. The restaurant features noodles of all kinds, not just Chinese. You'll also find offerings with flavors from other Asian countries.

On site, you'll discover a large room with a long bar and a market cart as decoration. Glowing neon lights, silver sheet metal and red industrial seating form the decor of this night market-style venue.

For starters, we opt for the pork and vegetable ravioli with sweet-spiced soy sauce and the Tian-Sui, a small portion of homemade pasta in sauce. A little firm for our taste, they are nevertheless a guarantee of homemade pasta.

As for the main courses, we opt for a seasonal homemade ravioli soup and the famous Dan-Dan noodles with minced pork, the house specialty. The noodles and ravioli are good, but a little thick for our taste. The noodles are seasoned with minced pork, Chinese cabbage, chives, garlic and peanuts, all in a well-vinegarized sauce with a hint of sesame: all in all, a good time.

Finish off with classic homemade mochi or fruit salad. At lunchtime, a €18 menu is available, consisting of a main course accompanied by a starter or dessert and a drink. In short, if you're a fan of good noodles and you're looking for a good, affordable canteen on the Palais Royal side of town, make a note of this address!
