Already familiar with the HO temporary terrace? This time, come and discover HOBA, the new place dedicated to sustainable food. Initiated by the Hasard Ludique team, this new spot and mouth-watering food court awaits you from June 2, 2022, right in the heart of the splendid Martin Luther King Park in Paris's 17th arrondissement.

A new venue dedicated to sustainable food has arrived in Paris's 17th arrondissement. One year after discovering HO, the ephemeral terrace overlooking the verdant Parc Martin Luther King, the Hasard Ludique team unveils HOBA.

But what exactly is HOBA? It's a food court with a strong commitment to sustainability. Its mission? To awaken taste buds and consciences by offering, in addition to good food, a multi-disciplinary programming space (conferences, screenings, podcasts, cooking classes and events).

To tickle your palate, HOBA has chosen to bring together 5 committed chefs in residence who are working towards greater sustainability by combining carbon sobriety and waste reduction. On the menu? A variety of cuisines inspired by street food culture.

Resident chefs:

  • Bloom by Baobab Lab: canteen with Mediterranean flavors
  • Just Ramen: Japanese street food
  • Le Falaf: a falafel concept revisited with flavors from around the world, where the chefs are refugees.
  • Mouflet: English muffins with a French twist
  • Sol Semilla: plant-based Latin cuisine with superfoods

To sample the tasty dishes concocted by these committed chefs, head to the Belvédère, the large glass hall perched 10m high in the Parc Martin Luther King. And right next door, you can sunbathe in HO, HOBA's famous 170m2 terrace.

And that's not all! Downstairs? You'll find another space dedicated to culinary practice and reflection on food-related societal issues, with a rich and eclectic program. A café area will also be available in this former 19th-century forge, which runs alongside Paris's Petite Ceinture railway line.

Behind HOBA is the Hasard Ludique team, to whom the City of Paris has entrusted - for a period of 15 years - these two buildings, which have been unoccupied in the 17th arrondissement for many years.

Just a little more patience before discovering HOBA. The public inauguration is scheduled for June 2 to 5, 2022, with a host of events. Shall we go?
