Unusual: a chilli-eating contest at HOBA's Paris on Fire festival

Attention thrill-seekers: if you're looking for an event that will push your limits, welcome to Paris on fire! After its first edition, Hot in Here, the capital's hottest spicy event is back at HOBA, with its not-to-be-missed chili-eating contest and other... hot... activities.

On the program: take part in hot sauce tastings from the Spicy Bar, challenge your friends to a Spicy Roulette and sample cocktails prepared especially for the occasion. For chilli enthusiasts (or the curious), you can learn all about hot sauces, from fermentation to cooking methods and the types of chillies used, by taking part in theSpice Jam workshop. There's no doubt that by the end of the three hours, you'll be a real expert on all kinds of hot sauces, and that your palate will also be burning a little as you sample the various recipes...

And that's not all: once your taste buds have been warmed up, it's the dancefloor 's turn to turn up the heat with a DJ set for the rest of the evening! The good news is that the Paris on fire festival is entirely free (except for competitions and hot sauce workshops, for which there is a charge), but it's a good idea to register to make sure you get a place.
