As part of the Biennale internationale des arts numériques d'Île-de-France, the MAIF Social Club and Le Centquatre are teaming up for an exceptional and unusual event: the Fondation du Rien. The aim? To offer culture-lovers the chance to do nothing and take their time, in a society that never stops and runs everywhere. This time, you're invited to take part in a rich program of activities, which you know will be cancelled in advance, leaving you an hour or two to do nothing, for once.
All you have to do is register, after which you'll receive your ticket, and on the day, an e-mail will tell you that your activity has been cancelled. What's next? Free time! Then, if you wish, you can write to the Foundation about your experience of nothing, and your testimony will form part of the event's final work. A kind of large-scale social experiment, taking place from September 30 to December 15, 2023, which pokes fun at this constant injunction to productivity, thought up by the theater company La Vaste Entreprise directed by Nicolas Heredia.
