Two years after its first edition, the Digital Art Festival returns to the heart of a historic monument on the outskirts of Paris. The gathering takes place in the charming city of Vincennes, right along the Paris Metro Line 1. Nestled beside the Bois de Vincennes, this Val-de-Marne commune, renowned for its quality of life, is especially famed for its emblematic landmark: the Château de Vincennes. It sits at the center of this artistic program, staged from October 15 to November 8, 2026.

Nuits de Lumière, is the name of this luminous festival that spotlights digital art in Vincennes. Over 16 evenings, from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., the town becomes an outdoor stage. Enthusiasts and curious passersby are invited to wander among digital artworks, some of which are interactive.
All told, 14 international artists await us at this festival, crafted under the artistic direction of Régis Clouzet and Jésus Baptista: Angelo Bonello (Italy), Maxime Touroute (France), WHYIXD (Taiwan), Candela 550 (France), Kairos (France), AlexP (Netherlands), Romain Tardy (France / Belgium), Bruno Ribeiro (France), Jésus Baptista (France / Portugal), A.I.L.O. (France), Daniel Rossa (Germany), Studio Inook (France) and the collective HAASKR (France / Portugal). The festival unfolds across as many stages as there are luminous works to discover along the route.
As in the previous edition, the route unfolds freely across the grounds of the Château de Vincennes, from the drawbridge on Avenue de Paris to the façades of the King and Queen Pavilions, passing by the imposing Keep.
In the courtyards of these pavilions, the show’s centerpiece unfolds: the historical mapping "From d’Artagnan to Joséphine Baker," created from the archives of the Service historique de la Défense and voiced by Emmanuelle Devos, followed by "The Grand Mix," a playful final tableau that promises to have you dancing and singing along to the tunes of pop music icons.
This edition stands out for its more spectacular feel, with several monumental projections—from the dungeon to the drawbridge, and on to the courtyard of the pavilions. You’ll also encounter more interactive works, alongside pieces that are more contemplative. With around fifteen installations in total, the route can feel fairly short if you’re not the type to linger. On the other hand, if you play along, you’ll get much more out of it.
Several installations feature a soundscape that is remarkably well isolated from one work to the next, creating a true sensory immersion. Moreover, visitors are advised to opt for slots after 8 p.m. to better appreciate the installations once the sun has set.
Note that this route unfolds entirely outdoors, with no installations inside the Chapel, so dress accordingly. There are no signage panels to explain the works; you’ll need to experience them firsthand to grasp or interpret their meaning. If you’re after visually striking setups to capture in photos, this is a great outing to consider. The show also evolves with a dynamic mapping experience: one side revisits the Château’s history, while the other offers a lighter, more playful interpretation where historic figures sing to pop tunes and reference even more surprising elements.
The city of Vincennes also notes that the event was designed to minimize the carbon footprint of this artistic showcase, organized jointly with the Centre des Monuments Nationaux and the Service historique de la défense des Armées: " LED lighting will be used and laser-based projectors will keep energy consumption under control. On site, catering stalls will be offered with food trucks serving locally produced products.".
