This fall, Galerie Nature Forte is hosting a series of exhibitions. Following a group installation raising awareness of climate disasters and another dedicated to nature in all its force, the gallery in Paris’s 10th arrondissement is now welcoming Licea. The Paris-based artist, who is a painter, illustrator and muralist, is presenting her new solo exhibition, whose title is long but oh so poetic: “On the Edge of Our Memories: When Fragments of Urban Life Take Root in Wild Memory”.
On view from November 6 to 21, 2026, this installation will invite visitors on an artistic journey. The idea is to explore this rugged terrain of memory through the symbolic concept of the edge: "this permeable, invisible boundary between the bustle of the city below and our inner forests," according to a post on social media.
Conceived as an emotional sanctuary, the exhibition is a poetic and political invitation “to reconnect with our shared humanity and preserve those intimate fragments that only we will know how to keep,” the text adds.
A theme dear to Licea, who makes no secret of her sensitivity to the magic of wild nature and the ambivalent feelings it inspires. Her creations are modern-day fairy tales for young and old alike. In this new exhibition, the French artist will showcase works made on logs and simple pieces of wood, among others.
To see the result for yourself, visit the Galerie Nature Forte from November 6 to 21, 2026. The opening reception will take place on Friday, November 6, from 6 p.m., in the artist’s presence.
As a reminder, the Galerie Nature Forte opened its doors in March 2023 at the initiative of Jonk, a photographer specializing in urban exploration. Throughout the year, the art space showcases the work of artists who depict the power of nature through painting, sculpture, photography, drawing and illustration.
