For a very delightful treat, meet rue de Courcelles in Paris 17th arrondissement. This is within their very lovely store called Le Jardin Sucré that Mélanie L'Héritier and Arnaud Mathez have been providing since 2017 delicious macarons and other mouthwatering pastries.
To get such exquisite macarons, both patissiers only work with exceptional and seasonal products: salted butter macarons, Sicilian pistachio macarons, milk chocolate, hazelnut and fleur de sel macarons, Madagascan vanilla macarons, or even black sesame and fleur de sel macarons! All in all, 12 flavors that are all mouthwatering and available on site.
It is simple, everyone coming to the store falls for macarons. We must say that the two self-taught patissiers - who opened their first store in Cernay-la-Ville, Yvelines - won in 2014 at only 25 the French Macaron Championship!
And Mélanie L'Héritier and Arnaud Mathez do not lack imagination as they have also developed their range of pastries with delicious and wonderful creations. The house's bestseller to try no matter what? The pistachio-orange blossom tart, based on pistachio ganache, runny pistachio praline heart, orange blossom mousse, the whole topped with roasted pistachios.
We also set our hearts on the quirky black sesame-yuzu tart with its incredible yuzu mousse, runny black sesame praline heart, black sesame ganache, and vegetable coal.
For cocoa lovers, we could not recommend enough the Macaé tart based on cocoa sugar dough, pure Brazilian origin dark chocolate ganache, roasted hazelnuts, runny 100% hazelnut praline heart, and pure Brazilian origin dark chocolate mousse.
If you are more into comfort pastries, go for the Paris-Brest based on homemade praline. As for the rest, discover the Victoria based on coconut mousse, passion fruit confit, mango and pineapple pieces, and coconut crumble.
