For this year's Epiphany 2026, Jardin Sucré, the renowned pastry bakery located in the 17th arrondissement of Paris and in Cernay-la-Ville, is sharing its latest creations. This season, the house presents two exquisite king cake varieties: one with almond and another with pistachio, each infused with a special twist.
The first galette, true to tradition, is made with a rich almond frangipane. What sets it apart is the delicate addition of Madagascar vanilla, which lends a subtle sweetness and an irresistible aroma. This harmonious combination elevates the classic Kings' Cake, adding an extra layer of indulgence to this Épiphanie favorite.
The second galette is a house specialty — a true crowd-pleaser. It pairs luscious pistachio frangipane with the delicate aroma of orange blossom, striking a perfect balance between rich flavors and floral notes. Crowned with toasted pistachios, it offers a crunchy texture and a smoky touch that beautifully enhances the sweetness of the frangipane.
These traditional pastries are only available during the Epiphany season, starting from January 3, 2026. As everyone knows, January is the month of galettes, the perfect time to indulge in the finest of these treats.
The experience goes far beyond simply tasting these delicacies. Stepping through the doors of Jardin Sucré, you enter a world where every pastry tells its own story. The warm welcome and inviting atmosphere encourage visitors to indulge in a sweet moment of respite. Founded by Mélanie L'Héritier and Arnaud Mathez, Jardin Sucré opened its doors in the 17th arrondissement of Paris in 2017, following an initial launch in Cernay-la-Ville. The shop is renowned for its macarons and other treats like the pistachio-orange blossom tart and the black sesame yuzu tart. The founders, self-taught artisans and 2014 French macaron champions, craft their 12 varieties using seasonal ingredients. Their range of baked goods, including the chocolate Macaé tart, the classic Paris-Brest, as well as flavoured flans and cookies, are also highly acclaimed.
For those on the lookout for a gourmet treat in Paris or in the Yvelines, these kings’ cakes present a perfect opportunity to celebrate Epiphany with a twist. Whether you're a fan of classic pastries or eager to explore new flavors, Jardin Sucré offers an experience that will delight your taste buds. Whether in Paris or in Cernay la Ville, don’t miss the chance to sample these exceptional creations that pay homage to French pastry craftsmanship.
