A new café is opening at the Grande Epicerie de Paris, and it's our little gourmet heart that's going crazy. Le Petit Café, as it's called, invites you into its ground-floor space, part coffee shop, part tea room .
On the drinks side, Le Petit Café offers a wide selection of locally-roasted coffees, teas, botanical lattes, infusions and hot chocolates, to be enjoyed seated at the large table d'hôte and accompanied by a farandole of sweet treats.
Of course, the menu includes viennoiseries prepared each morning, as well as the must-have Grande Epicerie de Paris pastries, prepared by its head bakers and pastry chefs:
Saint Honoré, Mille-feuilles or Paris-Brest, as well as all the ephemeral creations available at the pastry stand: fruit tarts of the moment, macaroons or even Chef Thibault Leroy's new cookies.
In short, an ultra-gourmand new place open every day at the same times as La Grande Epicerie de Paris, where you can relax between two shopping sessions, in the early hours before work, alone or with friends.
