In the 11th arrondissement, the Corner des Pâtissiers.e.s gathers several Parisian vegan specialists, in one place. On the spot, you can find the original creations of three pastry chefs: Eolia, Papillexotiques and Jo and Nana Cakes. VG Pâtisserie, which revisits French classics in a vegan version, also offers its creations at the corner.
Before becoming this crossroads, the place was reserved for raw pastry, which is still struggling to establish itself in France, while it is exploding across the Channel. Particularly good for the health, raw allows vitamins and nutrients to be better preserved. At the Corner des Pâtissiers, in the same perspective of offering healthy products, some pastries are gluten-free, in addition to being vegan.
In France, few vegan restaurants and pastry shops still exist. This is due to a French delay, linked to a bad knowledge of veganism and prejudices. This corner was born from a desire to bring together lovers of gourmetcakes and pastries in one place in Paris, and to make them more accessible.
Among the appetizing pastries offered, we tasted the incredible amandine tart, with pears and dark chocolate, topped with its golden hazelnuts, a real favorite! With green tea, the matcha and white chocolate cookie is a perfect match, thanks to its melting heart and its crunchy texture. The pear-cardamom dome is as beautiful as it is good, with its gluten-free sponge cake, very light, accompanied by a hot chocolate with soya milk.
