For its tenth anniversary, La Réserve Paris is spoiling us with its Collection N°3 - Anniversary Edition. Three-star chef Jérôme Banctel and pastry chef Jordan Talbot are unveiling their winterhot chocolatefor the third consecutive year, and this time they're thinking big with two recipes that promise to warm us right down to our toes.
Let's discover the Grande Réserve Hot Chocolate, which combines dark chocolate from Venezuela and milk chocolate from Peru, enhanced by a blend of orange peel, vanilla, cinnamon, and spices. We fell in love with this version with its delicious orange flavor reminiscent of orangettes, with spices that remain subtle and do not overwhelm the other flavors. A real journey in a cup that delicately awakens the taste buds.
The second creation, the Retour en Enfance Hot Chocolate, uses the same base of Venezuelan dark chocolate and Peruvian milk chocolate, but stands out for its gourmet accompaniment: marbled vanilla and chocolate madeleines with a melted chocolate caramel center. A more nostalgic version that takes us straight back to the snacks of our childhood. Both recipes are worth trying, but our favorite is definitely the Grande Réserve.
You can enjoy these creations for €35 by the fireplace in the Bibliothèque Duc de Morny, one of the most welcoming spots in the palace located at 42 avenue Gabriel. It's just what we need when it's gray outside. The service runs every day from 3pm to 6pm until Easter 2026, perfect for a snack break after a stroll on the Champs-Élysées or in Parc Monceau, both nearby.
In short, if you're looking for a great place to enjoy a refined afternoon snackthis winter, La Réserve Paris has it all with this anniversary hot chocolate that warms both the body and the heart. A wonderful discovery to share with friends or loved ones in a cozy setting.
