Cloud Cakes coffee shop is aptly named, with its airy pastries and cloudy decor. Located on rue Notre-Dame-de-Lorette, the place is cosy and welcoming, just like the brand's first address near Les Halles, on rue Mandar. Everything here is vegan, from brunch to lunch, from pastries to drinks, inspired by both American and French tastes, from cookie cream to opera. A real little paradise for vegans!
In this peaceful setting, you can enjoy the sweet treats of your choice, as if on cloud nine. It's hard to choose between the wide range of drinks available, the large-format cakes, the cupcakes of different sizes, small or medium, depending on your appetite, or even a few savoury dishes for lunch. Would you prefer coconut cheesecake, carrot cake or red velvet cupcake? Cloud Cakes has its own workshop in Clichy, and can be ordered in advance for a birthday or special event to delight your vegan friends and family.
We opted for an iced mocaccino with vegetable milk, very fresh and delicate, as well as a pretty latte with a heart, particularly tasty. As for desserts, the cupcake opera with dark chocolate and coffee cream seduced us with its sweetness, while the chocolate cake proved to be light thanks to its different textures, based on pear jelly and praline chantilly. For those nostalgic for the galette des rois, the almond croissant with frangipane will delight you, even without the beans! As for the pistachio macaroon, its texture is astonishing, since it's eggless, and despite its slight taste, the discovery is validated!
