The 18th arrondissement of Paris is definitely not short of good addresses. Today, we invite you to discover the world of Boris Lumé, whose two bakery-pastry shops delight the capital's sweet tooths. The first boutique has set up shop at a well-known address in the capital's history, behind a listed shopfront displaying the words "Boulangerie Pâtisserie du Moulin de la Galette".
The second, more recent address is just around the corner, at 26 rue Lepic. More modern but still welcoming, this spot, with its small counter where you can normally sit down, has what it takes to seduce us.
This Franco-Japanese couple, passionate about their craft, offer resolutely modern creations and recipes, each more creative than the last.
That's Boris Lumé. In addition to this first spot on rue Caulaincourt, a second address has opened on rue Lepic, just a few minutes' walk away. In either case, it's not unusual to see a crowd of gourmands flocking there, and with good reason: it's one of the neighborhood's nuggets that few local residents are unaware of.
Boris Lumé is the promise of homemade, dye-free, high-quality products. The art of matcha is mastered to perfection here, and found at the heart of a signature pastry embellished with raspberries.
The mille-feuille is revisited in a version that's both light and gourmet, the lemon tart surprises the taste buds with a touch of pesto and basil, and the cream-filled choux transports us to a little cloud. If the menu changes with the seasons, the gourmet pleasure remains all year round.
Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
