La Fête du Croissant at Christophe Louie by @Ellevousguide

A croissant party with panettone and a Danish frøsnapper? That's what awaits us at Christophe Louie in the 3rd arrondissement this Sunday, September 21, 2025. The event features two original creations by Christophe Louie, the king of pannettone, and Anthony Nguyen, our favorite tourrier.

On Sunday, September 21, 2025, head to Christophe Louie 's boutique in the Marais district for a gourmet experience unlike any other. From 10am to 1pm, @Ellevousguide's first Croissant Party transforms this 3rd arrondissement address into a culinary playground. On the menu for this surprising collaboration: a Lebanese panettone with Mediterranean flavors and an authentic Danish frøsnapper straight from the North. A fine way to celebrate Estelle's multicultural roots through two artisanal creations that promise to take us on a journey.

You may already know Estelle, the 24-year-old influencer behind the @Ellevousguide account followed by over 143,000 foodies. This Parisian food enthusiast with French, Lebanese and Danish roots had the brilliant idea of challenging her artisan friends to create viennoiseries that tell the story of her family roots. Christophe Louie, no longer known as Paris's panettone specialist, gladly lent himself to the game, imagining a Lebanese version of his Italian specialty. We can't wait to see how it turns out!

For the Danish frøsnapper, Estelle called on Anthony Nguyen(@_antho_ng), a talented tourier who turned to baking after a career in ready-to-wear. At the age of 36, he left everything behind to take his CAP in pastry-making and cooking, and it's safe to say he made the right choice! Having passed through several Parisian pastry houses(Bopain, Roulés Boulés, Baiman's Cake) and even a stint with Maxime Frédéric at Cheval Blanc, Anthony excels in the art of puff pastry. What's more, he's already working with Christophe Louie on his range of permanent pastries, so this Croissant Party promises to be exceptional!

What's for dinner?

This Croissant Party has two gourmet surprises in store. First, Christophe Louie's Lebanese panettone, which combines traditional Italian techniques with the flavors of Lebanon. This soft, fragrant brioche incorporates zaatar, grana padano and preserved lemon. A daring combination, don't you think? It's an original way of paying homage to Estelle's Lebanese roots, while retaining the authenticity of the Italian know-how mastered by our 3rd arrondissement artisan.

And then there's the Danish frøsnapper, a Viennese pastry that's little known in our part of the world, but which will take us on a journey to Nordic traditions. This little jewel, also known as wienerbrød, seduces us with its flaky pastry topped with sesame and poppy seeds. The sugar gently caramelizes as it bakes, giving it that crunchy texture we love in Danish pastries. Estelle chose it as a souvenir of her childhood, and it's easy to see why! Flavors leave their mark far beyond our borders.

Why do we love this collaboration?

We're not telling you anything new when we say that Christophe Louie has become THE reference for Parisian panettone since he opened his store on rue Dupetit-Thouars. A former sous-chef pâtissier at La Grande Épicerie de Paris for 12 years, he trained with Mauro Morandin, the Italian panettone maestro. His "Mauro" sourdough, inherited from his training in Italy, gives the authenticity found in all his creations. And since 2024, he's been a member of the Collège Culinaire de France, so we can't tell you how serious it is!

At Elle vous guide, we've been following her gourmet adventures since she shared her discoveries two years ago. This Franco-Lebanese-Danish influencer has created a real community around her Parisian culinary explorations. From neighborhood bakeries to Michelin-starred restaurants, she shows us Paris from a gourmet angle.

For this year's Fête du Croissant, head to 12 rue Dupetit-Thouars in the 3rd arrondissement. Christophe Louie's boutique, not far from the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson and the heart of the Marais, is easily reached from République or Arts et Métiers. The September 21, 2025 event lasts just three hours (10am-1pm), so don't delay in discovering these authentic and original viennoiseries.
