We're off to discover Latte Club, a new coffee shop in Paris's 12th arrondissement, with a distinctly Seventies ambience. Located on rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine, it offers gourmet coffee specialties accompanied by sweet treats.

Looking for an address that's a little different from the usual Parisian coffee shops? Latte Club has just opened in the 12th arrondissement, on rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine, and it's quite different. With its unashamedly seventies style and original coffee drinks made from Mokxa beans, this address is truly out of the ordinary. The retro decor by MKidées plunged us straight into another era, and we had a great time testing out this new address in the neighborhood.

From the outside, it doesn't go unnoticed. The amber-orange façade with its lime-green awning catches the eye and makes you want to push open the door. And then, surprise: we find ourselves in an ultra-seventies graphic universe, far from the streamlined Parisian cafés we know by heart. The MKidées studio has played the disorientation card with a décor reminiscent of Wes Anderson films and American modernist villas. Varnished red wood, irregular stonework, masonry planters, tropical plants: everything is designed to transport us to a retro 70s private club.

Take a seat on the acid-green banquettes or Space Age stools, surrounded by chocolate earthenware and orange-tinted glasses. This saturated color palette bathed in amber light is a real departure from classic coffee shops. Chrome details dot the space, reinforcing the retro-futuristic ambience, which we find quite successful. What we particularly liked was the tableware created especially for Latte Club by Parisian ceramist Sophie de Fenua. These colorful cups really add to the charm of the place.

As for beverages, Lyon-based roaster Mokxa supplies the beans for the classics: Expresso, Cappuccino and Flat White. But what really interested us were the in-house "Specialties". You can try the Rose Latte with rose syrup and the Pistache Latte with pistachio paste. For our part, we were tempted by the Macha Latte with rose, and frankly, it's as gourmand as it gets. The iced versions are also worth a detour, notably theEinspanner Latte with whipped cream and the Nitro Cold Brew, a 24-hour-brewed coffee served in a beer dispenser with a slightly fizzy texture.

If you're not into coffee, the menu also offers tea, with Matcha Jinmu Cérémonial available in several versions. The Sesame Latte made with pure sesame paste surprised us, as did the Hojicha Latte, a roasted green tea with smoky, woody notes. The Golden Latte with turmeric completes this fine selection of gourmet beverages.

To accompany all this, we fell for the generous matcha and chocolate cookies, as well as the moist lemon, pistachio and carrot cakes. Just the thing to relax and enjoy theseventies atmosphere. If you like the experience, you can even take away mugs, thermos flasks, shoulder bags, pins or lighters emblazoned with the house's signature orange clover.

Latte Club is for specialty coffee lovers looking for a different experience, for those who love retro decor and immersive worlds, and for the curious ready to try original drinks like Rose Latte or Nitro Cold Brew. It's also an address for those who take the time to put their suitcases down and enjoy the atmosphere, rather than order a coffee to go in a hurry. On the other hand, if you're looking for a minimalist, uncluttered place, a classic coffee shop where you can work on your computer in silence, or simply a quick espresso with no fuss, this is probably not the address for you. Here, it's really the overall experience that counts, with its seventies decor and gourmet drinks.

Latte Club is located at 50 rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine in the 12th arrondissement, not far from Bastille and Place de la Nation. The coffee shop opens every day until 6.30pm on weekdays and 7pm at weekends. With its retro decor and out-of-the-ordinary coffee specialties, it's a welcome change from everyday life in the neighborhood.
