No one can stop Tomy Gousset! Barely three years after opening Tomy & Co – Michelin star awarded in January 2019 – then Hugo & Co, this one-thousand cap wearing chef keeps on delivering tasty recipes and incredible ideas in Paris with the opening of a third restaurant, Marso & Co in the 13th arrondissement.
This time, Tomy Gousset has decided to give pride of place to Mediterranean cuisine with exotic associations and hearty plates, as usual.
To start things well, expect a delicious olive oil focaccia, confit garlic spread, tapenade and eggplant caviar (€9), confit eggplants, anchovies, tomatoes, pesto and pine nuts (€9) or seabass tartare, mint ricotta and carasao bread (€14).
As for us, we took as starters the herb hummus, sun-dried tomatoes, confit garlic and pine nuts (€8) that we heard was delicious (and it was!), the tasty eau-de-vie flambeed chorizo skewer (€10) and squid and fennel salad with orange vinaigrette (€15), unique and flavorful pairings.
Moving on to main courses, we had Italian pasta on one side with Fregola à la burrata, ‘nduja, tomatoes, celery and savory (€18) as well as the incredible and unforgettable confit lamb, apricots, spring onions, yogurt and rice (€19) a de-light!
And for desserts, we had the panna cotta twisted with orange blossom flower and cherries (€9) while the Pasteis de Nata (€9) take us to Portugal and perfectly blend with a chocolate-coffee ganache.
If all these tasty dishes don’t make you want to go to the 13th arrondissement…
