Slowly but surely, restaurant Sausalito is settling in Paris. Set rue de Maubeuge in the 9th arrondissement, only a few steps from the Gare du Nord, you’re promised to enjoy a cuisine typical of the new bistros that are already filling the already big catalog of Parisian culinary places: gastronomic but affordable!
Successful bet for the Sausalito team! At the head of the project, we have chef David John Kelly, who worked at Restaurant 6 Paul Bert, Pierre Rammaret (who worked at Frenchie London), Antoine Couturier (who was at Big Mamma) and two entrepreneur brothers Martin and Basile Beaupère. A beautiful squad of gastronomy lovers who – who have further experience down the belt – provide food without fuss.
Halfway between cool bistro and a friendly wine cellar, the orange façade is without fuss and perfectly matches the wooden chairs on the terrace. Inside, nice zinc and open-plan kitchen take us straight to our upcoming plate. In the room, high tables, long counters and more intimate console tables match for a harmonious décor mixing brick wall, raw materials and safari jungle wallpaper.
In the plate, we find the wine bar and plate to share atmosphere with veal fritters, pork ribs, mushroom, comté cheese, beetroot and goat’s cheese salads. Without forgetting some squid with chorizo, to try absolutely! The whole is served along with lively and nature wines. For lunch or for dinner, enjoy a nice “Le Petit Oratoire” drink while waiting for your friends, with a menu changing daily with the seasons and the mood.
So, what to you need more to have a good night with friends?
