The Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral, one of the finest jewels in town, at the heart of an upcoming Netflix series? This is official, as Jean-Jacques Annaud is shooting a movie called "Notre-Dame Brûle" [Notre-Dame is Burning].
The shooting of the "Notre-Dame, the fire part" series started three weeks ago and stars Roschdy Zem, Simon Abkarian, Caroline Proust and Alice Isaaz.
Last year, our peers from Le Film Français magazine lead us to believe, explaining it would be a miniseries on the fire from 2019, including six 60-minute long episodes. A documentary series created in partnership with the Brigade des Sapeurs Pompiers de Paris (Paris firefighters), and journalist Romain Gubert.
"Notre-Dame, the fire part" will try and tell from within the dramatic fire that took place on April 15, 2019. The series - written and directed by Hervé Admar - will also include fiction scenes. The cast of the series is impressive and gathers: Roschdy Zem, Caroline Proust, Simon Abkarian, and Alice Isaaz. As well as Victor Belmondo, and Frédéric Chau.
Netflix confirmed Le Parisien the series will be released in 2022 online, without giving more details.
