Sake lovers, that’s for you! The European Fair for Sake and Japanese Beverages is back in Paris from Saturday October 5 to Monday 7, 2019. It’s the New Cap Event Center nestled in Paris 15th arrondissement that houses the sixth edition of the event that is now unmissable and important.
In 2018, over 4600 visitors came to discover over 350 nihonshu (the true name of the Japanese sake), as well as meet producers and sake importers and exchange with other sake fans.
This edition 2019 will offer tasting of over 600 Japanese sakes and 200 other Japanese drinks. For the very first time, the prefectures of Iwate and Shizuoka will join those of Hyogo and Tottori among the dozen major sake regions participating to the event.
The Fair for Sake 2019 will also provide masterclasses and workshops highlighting new and surprising dish and sake pairings! Let’s not forget either about the “carte blanche” workshop given to a renown Parisian chef.
And as usual, the European Fair for Sake will open with the official ceremony of the Kagami Biraki during which the organizer of the fair and sake master Sylvain Huet surrounded by several guests crack open the lid of a barrel of sake in order to kick off the festivities.
In other words, don’t miss this event devoted to connoisseurs and novices wishing to discover the universe of sake!
