The 2025 Salon du Chocolat is making its grand return to the Parc des Expo at Porte de Versailles in the 15th arrondissement, and this year we are celebrating 30 years of this iconic event for cocoa lovers. From October 29 to November 2, 2025, more than 250 exhibitors from 30 countries will take over Pavilion 5 to introduce us to the world of chocolate and pastry. The program includes tastings, live demonstrations, workshops for young and old, and a Broadway-style musical comedy that is sure to mark the anniversary of the Salon du Chocolat in style.
This year, the show is making a big splash with a completely revamped program. To mark three decades of success, director Marianne Chandernagor wanted to reinvent the visitor experience: two out of three activities have been revamped and around 100 new exhibitors are joining the adventure. The visitor experience is designed to be more engaging, more participatory, and more immersive than ever before.
The event honors Jean-Paul Hévin, an iconic figure in the French chocolate scene. Named Meilleur Ouvrier de France in 1986, this world-renowned master chocolatier has embodied French chocolate excellence for more than three decades. Trained alongside Joël Robuchon, he has developed a unique style that combines technical rigor, refined aesthetics, and absolute respect for taste. At the helm of more than 20 boutiques in Paris, Japan, and Taiwan, he represents the perfect union of artisanal expertise and international influence.
This year, the Salon du Chocolat programis breaking new ground. The traditional chocolate dress parade is being transformed into a Broadway-style musical show, with chocolate sets, choreography, and costumes that combine the art of pastry making with the art of performance. It's a bold move that is sure to delight both the eyes and the taste buds. This is one of the major new features of this 30th anniversary edition: the event takes on the air of an immersive musical comedy where chocolate becomes a total art form.
In partnership with AICOM, France's leading multidisciplinary school dedicated to the performing arts, the show offers an original performance combining dance, singing, theater, and chocolate costumes. Choreographer Johan Nus took part in all stages of the creative process. Inspired by classics such as The Greatest Showman, Mamma Mia, and Starmania, the show presents five narrative scenes, each showcasing chocolate costumes designed as living works of art by duos of stylists and chocolatiers. A selection of chocolate dresses will also be on display from October 20 to November 3 at Galeries Lafayette Le Gourmet.
This year, the Japan area is out, and the international destinations pavilion is in, where you can meet international chefs.
At the Pastry Show, the central stage will welcome nearly fifty renowned chefs who will take turns giving live demonstrations. These include Nina Métayer, voted the world's best pastry chef in 2023, who will reveal her refined techniques, as well as Aurélien Cohen, Nicolas Guercio from Lutetia, and Mercotte, well-known figures among pastry lovers. These masterclasses allow you to watch the creation of exceptional desserts in real time and pick up a few tips on how to reproduce these marvels at home. Tasting sessions punctuate the demonstrations, allowing you to put into practice what you have admired with your eyes.
Cake Time invites you to take a gourmet break in a warm and friendly atmosphere. This intimate space offers refined tastings with encounters with pastry chefs from leading establishments such as Claire Santos Lopes from the Royal Champagne Hotel & Spa, Nina Métayer from La Délicatisserie, and Eddie Benghanem from the Waldorf Astoria Versailles Trianon Palace. Their sweet creations are enhanced by a selection of teas from George Cannon, a French company founded in 1898. The Royal Tea Time package is making its debut this year with an exceptional pairing: pastries combined with the fine bubbles of Gremillet Champagne.
The show is strengthening its educational dimension with more than 100 gourmet workshops and 30 conferences on the industry, ethics, transmission, and creativity. Bean-to-bar enthusiasts will discover committed artisans such as Songes et Cacao in Ardèche, Terre de Fèves in Vannes, and Chocolaterie Origines in Bordeaux. Also on the program isthe Espace Remix, where pastry chefs create desserts live to the sound of DJ sets, combining culinary creation and musical atmosphere.Yann Couvreur, Cedric Grolet, and Jeffrey Cagnes will be waiting for you there.
Competitions will also punctuate this edition with the Meilleur Apprenti de France Chocolaterie Confiserie (Best Apprentice in France in Chocolate and Confectionery) on October 29 at 11 a.m., the Club des Croqueurs de Chocolat Awards on the same day at 2 p.m., the Master du Pain au Chocolat on October 30 at 2 p.m., and Les Éclats du Chocolat in partnership with Galeries Lafayette Le Gourmet on November 2 at 12 p.m.
For this anniversary edition, the aisle will also host a retrospective exhibition dedicated to Jean-Paul Hévin, guest of honor and master chocolatier for 2025, featuring his iconic creations and original artistic pieces that pay tribute to his 30-year career.
Families are not left out. Workshops, meetings with Santa Claus, and adapted masterclasses await families. To find out more about the activities for children at the Salon du Chocolat, the program is rich and varied.
