After opening a first and successful tree-climbing site in Rueil, three years ago, AccroCamp has taken over Moisson since May 1, 2018. Here’s a new spot that have everything to please: a site in a primeval forest featuring a view on the lake, top equipment to make the activity accessible, a unique and super safe system of non-stop pulley so that you can’t make any mistake, nice workshops with giant ziplines as well as a 12-m high quick jump. You’ll find everything you need to be happy and enjoy a good time.
For the record, the outdoor activities center of the Boucles de Seine is set between Giverny and Mantes-la-Jolie, about 70km from Paris. It’s a oh-so green area covering 350 acres by the Seine offering a lovely range of activities: golf, nautical activities, bike courses, tennis court and swimming expect you.
The highlights: the superb supervised swimming area with fine sand, clear and clean water and you can even enjoy barbecues! The bar managed by AccroCamp rents barbecues with coal if need be, no excuse to avoid grilled food. So, a simple outing to a climbing-tree site can turn into a super day with a stroll among the trees, swimming and barbecue.
Please note that the entrance of the outdoor activities center is charged during the summer season (July-August). The price to pay to get a lifeguard on the beach. It’s €3 per person, a sum that has been deduced from the usual tree-climbing fees.
Let’s start by hitting the beach bar to pay for the package (toddler course, children course, junior course, big course, park ticket), watch an explanatory video on the good behavior and you can leave your bags and belongings to the lockers.
Then, let’s hit the forest to get our equipment.
On the spot, we discover structures well-integrated within nature. The layout has been designed in a way to respect the environment and trees as much as possible, then platforms are fitted with a system of four pressure points, allowing to avoid applying a tourniquet on the tree when the latter grows on. Green areas, outside the paths, are left uncultivated to avoid people walking on it and to give free rein to nature development and animals.
Once we’re equipped, we throw ourselves in learning how to use the non-stop line pulley. It’s the first time we used these made in France pulleys. An ingenious system allowing us not to ever unhook ourselves but more over we never have to change system, especially for the ziplines. After using it, we’re conquered by this extremely simple and smooth system: it slides on its own without any blockage, we love it. A second snap hook is added to the equipment (for adults) for even more safety, we never know.
After a learning practice course, we launch an attack on the 7 courses according to ages and difficulties, the courses can go up to 15-m high. Surprise, it’s the first time we discover high accesses via real wooden staircases. What a good thing for risk averse climbers and a sure way for tree-climbing to secure access when the park is closed.
Monkey bridge, nets, climbing, spider jump and zipline with a landing platform are on the menu of this afternoon that’s running out. 3 hours later, after a final 12-m high quick jump, here we are, knackered but delighted.
In other words, to enjoy a lovely green day and enjoy tree-climbing with a rocking view and without fearing for your safety, you know where to go.
