For European Heritage Days 2020, Paris Musée Curie opens all weekend, on September 19 and 20 to discover the story of the family with 5 Nobel Prizes. Scientific heritage fans, you know what to do!

To celebrate European Heritage Days, taking place on September 19 and 20, 2020, the Musée Curie exceptionally opens all weekend long to provide self-guided tours of the museum, as well as an outdoor guided tour. Both tours are accessible from 15 years old.

What a wonderful way to discover the Curies’ universe, the family who won five Novel Prizes (Marie got two, her Husband Pierre, her daughter Irène and her son-in-law Frédéric Joliot) whose discoveries allowed to understand the phenomena of radioactivity and create major medical applications.

Set in Marie Curie’s former home, where she actually studied and taught radioactivity over a century ago, the Musée Curie offer several instructive tours and activities to enjoy with your family. You can visit the scientist’s office, the chemistry laboratory kept as it was or even the amphitheater where she taught her classes.

37th European Heritage Days at the Musée Curie program:

  • Guided tour of the museum 
    Follow your guide and explore every nook and cranny of the museum. The guide will comment the outdoor and indoor trails of the museum and gives you all the details of the museum and those it is devoted.
    Mandatory booking, tour recommended from 16 years old.
    One-hour tour, departures on Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.
