Discover what happens behind the curtains and the story of the building… This is what the Théâtre de l'Odéon proposes for the 36th edition of European Heritage Days on Saturday September 2019. Between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., with a tour every 30 minutes, drama lovers and beautiful building fans are invited to discover the premises built in the late 18th century under the reign of Louis XVI and inaugurated by Marie-Antoinette.
Guided tours about the great history and its influence on drama and its art evolution. Main playwrights, producers, actors and actresses… As many characters who walked the stage and had an influence on the evolution of the cultural venue. Note that the tour within the theater takes you to secret places, usually closed to the public… Go and be charmed by the gildings, the red velvet on the walks and the ceiling painted by André Masson!
