pop rock anglaise. Au programme, tout ce qu’il faut pour vivre une
soirée « à l’anglaise » : musique live, « authentic atmosphere » et
menu spécial concocté par le restaurant de la Flèche d’Or…

Soul / Chanson hollandaise Formation du sud-ouest de
L'Angleterre, de Tavistock dans le Devon, The Rumble Strips font mal,
très mal ! C'est un groupe un peu à part de la scène anglaise actuelle,
leurs univers est un peu décalé. En témoigne d'ailleurs leur mascotte,
la "Rumble Drum" présente sur les pochettes des cds. Au premier abord,
leurs compos font penser au son des Dexys Midnight Runners.

THE BRUTE CHORUS (Uk)
Alternative / Garage Comprised of West Country vicars
son James Steel, Cumbrians Nick Foots and Matthew Day (the son of a
Quaker Morris man) and South Ender Dave Ferrett who found us on the
internet: we are The Brute Chorus. We live together in a block of flats
in Whitechapel, East London affectionately nick-named Murder Court with
the ghosts of The Chapman Brothers and Bow Wow Wow. Described as
'combining garage, blues and folk music with a scatology of Biblical
stories, nursery rhymes and fairy tales', we’ve been taking it to the
people since March of 2007. We started by playing a monthly residence
at the Hawley Arms in Camden before putting out our first two singles
‘Chateau/ The Cuckoo & The Stolen Heart’ and 'Grow Fins' in the
first half of 2008 on the Hawley Arms' own label.

DETACHMENTS (Thisisnotanexit/Uk)
New Wave / Live Electronics . Detachments' debut
single ‘Fear No Fear’ was released in 2008 to wide acclaim (The Times
Track of The Day, FACT New Talent, MixMag ones to watch) and strong
support from Optimo, Ivan Smagghe and Shackleton amongst other
luminaries. Its haunting reach served as a excellent introduction to a
band who’s influences range from early Factory Records to classic Warp
Records to DFA; a band who meld together the nuance and agit-emotion of
post-punk with the dynamic of electronic music.

INTERTAINMENT (I'm a Cliché/Fr)
Indie. Juan de Guillebon est bassiste. Vous pourrez
clairement deviner ses influences No Wave (Suicide ou James Chance),
Krautrock (Cluster), ou encore EBM et l’électro punk 80’s de DAF. Il
fait notamment parti de Joakim & the Disco et travaille sur un
projet solo qui sort sur Tigersushi, DyE. Antoine Montgaudon joue de la
guitare, aux couleurs des enregistrements 70’s de Brian Eno. Il
construit des atmosphères psychédéliques infinies avec feedbacks, loops
et Fxs. Il joue également aux côtés de Bot’Ox, Babx et Sir Alice. «U
1988 E.P» propose 5 morceaux originaux ainsi que 3 remixes de Bot'Ox,
Kruton et Michoacan. Ce disque a été produit avec Bot'Ox (Cosmo Vitelli
et Julien Briffaz/Tékël).
