“2019 – 1964: Futurespective”: this is the theme of this series of concerts in Paris that John Cale will performed at the Cité de la Musique on Monday September 23, Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25, 2019.
Designed as a travel through time, this big concert is a walk down memory lane and John Cale’s entire career, from his most recent recordings to his debuts with the legendary Velvet Underground band.
For the youngest, we remind you that the Welsh writer-composer-singer, multi-instrument player and producer John Cale got known first within Velvet Underground. But the fights with Lou Reed push him to leave the band in 1968. He then throws himself into a solo career started with the album “Vintage Violence” and he releases all in all about twenty studio albums.
In the same time, he’s an active producer especially working with Nico, the Stooges and Patti Smith. He even writes many movie soundtracks especially for Philippe Garrel.
From today to the 1960’s, this Parisian event scheduled in September at the Cité de la Musique crosses a long and impressive path covering over half a century and reflects all the creativity of John Cale.
For the biggest fans, don’t forget that tickets go on sale this Monday May 6, 2019 at 12 p.m. (GMT+1).
