A muy caliente night for Make Music Day, how does it sound? Good? Then on Friday June 21, 2019 head to La Bellevilloise.

For Make Music Day 2019, La Bellevilloise offers a night with concerts, DJ sets and collectives.

On Friday June 21, 2019 the famous Parisian venue opens from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. for the “Voilà l’été” [Here comes summer] party.

On the menu:

  • CONCERTS: Cuarto Sabor + Sonora de Cumbear
  • DJ SET: DJ Ortega Dogo + DJ Dany Romero + Captain Cumbia
  • COLLECTIVE: Kumquat Family

KUMQUAT FAMILY (House Music and Groovy atmosphere) – DJ set
Their identities was forged with time, event after event, until they found their way. World, disco, tropical house, techno, micro house? We can’t say, each musical genre has then its moment during the night!

CUARTO SABOR (Acoustico Décapant) – Concert
Including 4 musicians coming from different music backgrounds (rock, blues, latino), CUARTO SABOR has been created over their common passion for Latin-Caribbean music. Salsa, batchata, merengue and so on… Guitar, bass, bongos and guira, mixing music styles with Latin tradition, an effective recipe already rocking the French capital.

SONORA DE CUMBEAR (El Fuego de Cumbia) – Concert
Lulled by the sun and the sounds of Latin America, Sonora de Cumbear only has one aim: making Paris dance and bring cumbia all over France. An explosive mix of drums, keys and trumpet accompanies Paula Cubillos’s deep voice. They share with their audience a modern and festive cumbia drawing its strength from the soul of Latin America. True ambassador of the Latin-American party in Paris, SONORA will take you to an incredible journey filled with music and colors. Let yourself be carried by the fever of Cumbiera and let “El Fuego de Cumbia” consume you.

CAPTAIN CUMBIA (Cumbia Roots & Digital) – DJ set
Multi-instrument player, singer, DJ and producer, “El Súper Desperado” from Ménilmontant is a Cumbia specialist. In his cumbiero lab, he enjoys mixing and remixing, doing mashups with Colombian, Mexican, Amazonian and Argentinean cumbia and Hip-Hop, Reggae-Dance Hall. On stage, he simultaneously plays on his turntable melodica, guiro songs on self-made productions or traditional cumbia songs. Appealing crowds, this showman irresistibly makes you dance!

DJ ORTEGA DOGO (Latin Beats) – DJ set
Pablo Ortega Dojo, Argentinean DJ and MC, member of the Latino “Pachamama” collective and representing Sonidero Pachamama in Paris (a mix of cumbia, salsa and urban latino musics). For his first time at the fiesta de cumbia, Ortega Dogo will make you dance on rhythms that lulled his childhood back in Argentina. Expect an explosive and sharp set for connoisseurs.

DJ DANY ROMERO (Caliente, muy caliente)
DJ Dany Romero is one of the great DJs specialized in Latin music in France and Europe!
Born in Paris, Dany grows up in France and Puerto Rico, in a family of magicians leaving a large art heritage since his younger age. He’s also a radio host, a drummer in a salsa orchestra and even a singer with his song Bandida. The most important parties and Latino clubs in Europe, Paris, London, Brussels, Geneva call in this salsa and Latino music ambassador to make you travel like magic to the most beautiful beaches in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.
