Rock, French variety, rap, R&B, K-pop, classical music, electro, jazz and metal... In Paris, live music is experienced in all its forms and resonates constantly thanks to the many venues scattered throughout the capital and its inner suburbs.
While the Stade de France is the dream of many national and international artists, other venues in the Paris region are fortunate enough to be able to offer concerts all year round. Such is the case of the Paris La Défense Arena. Considered Europe's largest indoor venue, this Hauts-de-Seine venue has already opened its doors to Mylène Farmer, Pink, Rammstein, The Rolling Stones, Taylor Swift, Maroon 5, Orelsan, Joe Hisaishi and Sum 41.
On the other side of the capital, of course, is theAccor Arena, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2024. The venue in the 12th arrondissement of Paris is best known for having welcomed Johnny Hallyday on numerous occasions. With 101 concerts, Johnny Hallyday remains the male artist who has performed there the most times!
But theAccor Arena has also opened its doors to other prestigious artists, including Mylène Farmer, Madonna, Metallica, David Bowie, Björk and Bruce Springsteen.
Other legendary venues in Paris? The Zenith at La Villette, the legendaryOlympia , the Salle Pleyel and the Philharmonie. Paris is also the place to enjoy more intimate concerts, thanks to La Cigale, Le Trabendo, La Maroquinerie, La Boule Noire, Petit Bain and Le Cabaret Sauvage.
Some venues even host free concerts. Notably, this includes Supersonic, Truskel, and Mécanique Ondulatoire.
With so many venues gearing up for upcoming performances, the live music scene in Paris is buzzing with excitement. Whether they’re emerging talents or seasoned performers, local or international acts, musicians and singers are eager to make their voices heard across the city.
