Eurovision 2026 party: musical surprises and a giant screen on Place de la Bastille

The Eurovision Song Contest returns this spring with a grand final scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026. This year, rising star Monroe has been selected to represent France. On this occasion, and for the second consecutive year, the City of Paris transforms Place de la Bastille into a giant party, with musical surprises and the final broadcast on a big screen.

Since its debut in 1956, the Eurovision Song Contest has evolved a lot. Today, the competition is followed by a broad audience of enthusiasts, but also by many curious onlookers eager to discover the diverse European talents and their songs. This year France is represented by Monroe, a young operatic singer who burst onto the scene in 2025 after winning the show Prodiges on France 2. So, will Monroe manage to top Louane's result? The artist who represented France last year ultimately finished 7th. For now, the suspense remains. But according to bookmakers, Monroe is among the five biggest favorites for this year's Eurovision.
