Opera at Palazzo at the Jacquemart-André Museum: immersive opera to experience in Paris

La Traviata and Rigoletto are revealed in a new light with Opera a Palazzo Paris, an exceptional immersive experience staged at the Jacquemart-André Museum. On the program: a wander through the museum's salons, close encounters with the artists, a private tour and a glass of champagne.

Opera a Palazzo Paris offers a fresh take on opera in Paris, set inside the Jacquemart-André Museum. Here there’s no distant stage: audiences follow the action through the museum’s salons, up close with the singers and musicians, in an immersive format devoted to La Traviata and Rigoletto.

Drawing on a concept born in Venice and refined in Paris since 2021, Opera a Palazzo offers an intimate, small-scale experience inside a heritage venue, bringing artists and audiences into close proximity. After touring across Paris, the Musée Jacquemart-André now hosts these immersive performances in its historic salons.

In this setup, La Traviata is presented in a tighter version focused on its central characters, amplifying the drama’s intimate feel, while Rigoletto leans more into the tragic tension, placed right up against the audience. The singers move just a few steps from the spectators, supported by a reduced musical ensemble, in a production crafted for this roaming, promenade-style format.

This one-night-only evening goes beyond the performance. Spectators also enjoy a private tour of the 19th-century spaces, a glass of champagne at intermission, and a setting designed as a premium cultural night out. Capacity is limited to 80 people, with doors opening at 20:00 and the opera starting at 20:30.

Practically speaking, the experience runs about 2h30, including 1h30 of opera, and tickets are priced at 255 euros. An evening dress code is encouraged. This format appeals to both seasoned opera fans and curious newcomers who want to discover lyric art in a historic, more intimate setting than a traditional concert hall.
