The Midis d’Europa Expérience offers free talks on current European affairs, once a month on a Tuesday! Join us starting September 15 to catch these free discussions on Europe in the heart of Paris.

What if your lunch break could be an opportunity to better understand what’s playing out at the European level? Les Midis d’Europa Expérience invites the public to Europa Expérience Paris, at 28 place de la Madeleine, for a series of free talks focused on European current affairs and the major international issues. Created with the Institut Jacques Delors, this cycle takes place on the first Tuesday of each month, from 12:30 to 13:30, in a format accessible to anyone who wants to deepen a topical discussion related to Europe, without tying up an entire afternoon.

A cultural and civic lunch break in the heart of Paris

Based in the Madeleine district, Europa Expérience Paris hosts this midday event designed as a break in the day. The premise is simple: for an hour, an expert speaks on a topic related to the European Union, its public policies, or its international relations. The audience then enjoys a short, focused, and free session to better understand the issues shaping the European debate.

Free lectures on Europe and international issues

With Les Midis d’Europa Expérience, the aim isn’t merely to offer a series of lectures in Paris. The project also seeks to make topics that are sometimes seen as dense more accessible to a broad audience. The announced themes align with the major questions shaping the continent’s current affairs: energy transition, European policies, sovereignty, the economy, climate, international relations, and institutional developments.

The lunchtime format plays a key role here. It lets you hear an expert in a compact time slot, fuels your thinking, and, depending on how the session unfolds, gives you space to ask questions. For those who want to better understand European mechanisms without entering an academic or professional framework, this offer easily fits into everyday life.

A partnership with the Jacques Delors Institute

The involvement of the Jacques Delors Institute places this series within a mission of transmission and interpretation. Renowned for its work on European policy, the institute lends its expertise to a regular program that aims to connect major contemporary issues with a broad audience. This collaboration lends the meetings a pedagogical dimension that is also firmly anchored in today’s debates.

For Parisians, residents of Île-de-France, or visitors passing through the capital, Les Midis d’Europa Expérience can become a new lunchtime cultural habit. One hour, one current topic, one expert speaker, a venue easily reached in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, and free admission with reservation: a simple formula to slip a little Europe into your Paris schedule.
