The lineup for the Paris Lyric Festival 2026:
- July 2 – An Italian lyric journey: from Così fan tutte to L'Elisir d'amore
A voyage through lyrical, theatrical, and dreamlike Italy. From Così fan tutte to Il barbiere di Siviglia, from Norma to L’Elisir d’amore, with Don Carlo weaving together the spirit of theater, the ardor of the heart, and vocal virtuosity in some of the greatest pages of the Italian repertoire. Ensembles, duets, emblematic arias, and grand cantabile moments alternate in a program painted with contrasting colors, blending grace, passion, and dramatic intensity.
With: Aurélie Loilier, Mathilde Legrand, Yu Shao, Marc Souchet, Yuko Osawa.
- July 4 – Italian Passions: from Lucia di Lammermoor to Turandot
Impossible loves, oaths, jealousy, partings, and heroic ardor converge in some of the most moving pages of the repertoire. From Donizetti and Bellini to Mascagni, Puccini, and Verdi, the program brings to life the voices of bel canto and lyrical drama, from Lucia di Lammermoor to La Bohème, Madama Butterfly, and Turandot, with the tragic accents of Don Carlo. An intense journey through feelings, where each aria, duet, or ensemble gives voice to the movements of the heart as well as to the twists of fate.
With: Armelle Khourdoian, Christophe Poncet de Solages, Jiwon Song, Phil Richardson.
- July 9 – Spain in Opera: Carmen and Don Giovanni
Spain rises here as a blazing imagination, at once popular, sensuous, theatrical, and melancholy. Around Carmen, Il barbiere di Siviglia, and Don Giovanni, the program stages themes of seduction, freedom, panache, and desire. Alongside Bizet, Rossini, and Mozart, Manuel de Falla’s Canciones populares and Agustín Lara’s Granada extend this musical voyage—sun-drenched Andalusian warmth, vocal allure, and dramatic flair.
With: Séraphine Cotrez, Yu Shao, Marc Souchet, Katia Weimann.
- July 11 – Viennese Night: from Mozart to Strauss
The festival closes with an evening brimming with refinement and Viennese spirit. From Don Giovanni to Le Nozze di Figaro, from Così fan tutte to Die Zauberflöte, the opener celebrates Mozart’s theatrical grace. Then Schubert, Sieczyński, Lehár, and Johann Strauss open the doors to a Vienna that is lighter, brighter, and nostalgically festive, blending opera, operetta, and parlor songs. A true musical portrait of Austria’s capital, where stage elegance meets festive charm.
With: Emilie Rose-Bry, Christophe Poncet de Solages, Jiwon Song, Katia Weimann.
Once again, a lineup brimming with exciting prospects for opera enthusiasts in Paris!
