Michael Jackson: On the Wall, the exhibition at Paris Grand Palais

From November 23, 2018 to February 17, 2019, Paris Grand Palais dedicates an exhibition to the King of Pop. An event offering to return on the singer’s career and his influence on the world of music and art.

This is it! 2018 is Michael Jackson’s year since after stopping by London National Portrait Gallery between June and October 2018, an exhibition dedicated to him comes to Paris, France, and more precisely at the Grand Palais from November 23, 2018 to February 17, 2019. An event to celebrate his birthday, since he would have been 60 years old this year.

An exhibition entitled – for now – Michael Jackson: On The Wall (the title may change) and should normally returns on the singer’s huge career and the artists he influenced through his work. A temporary title in tribute to his fifth solo album produced in 1979 by Quincy Jones.

Speaking of Michael Jackson’s influence on music and art, visitors can discover works of forty artists who have been touched and inspired by the man: from David LaChapelle to Andy Warhol, without forgetting Marvin Gaye Chetwynd or even Rashid Johnson. According to BFMTV, essays by Zadie Smith, Margo Jefferson and even Nicolas Cullinan will be showcased. An exhibition that will then tour Europe, stopping by Bonn in Germany and even Espoo in Finland.
