Those who love accessible art will enjoy Champop, this gallery devoted to street art set near Merci and the Musée Picasso.
Open since this Fall 2018 by a couple fond of art, Champop want to make art galleries accessible with a laid-back and New-York loft-like style where you can enjoy a drink at the Champagne bar (€10 to €15 per glass).
The Valès couple, the owners, support (young) Pop and Street artists like Mister Luca T, Dillon Boy and Denis Ouch, very appreciated artists. They make us discover each artist, gladly talking and explaining us how they discovered some of them in the streets such as Denis Ouch they met in New York and now a close friend.
Next to these artists, the great Andy Warhol, Banksy, Alex Monopoly, Mr Brainwash, Bambi, Vincent Duchene, C215 or even Robert Indiana the couple bought a few years back.
If we can think this gallery is a lovely place reserved for an elite, the Valès couple shows us it’s not true with original works available from €150, “a proposition to young artists who agreed to play the game”. Well, for most of them, these are only small pieces, but they allow you to brighten up a room and are nice first purchases!
So, what are you expecting for to pop in?
