A day in the open air in Issy: walk on the islands and visit of the Tour aux Figures

Looking for a free family outing? We have just what you need. Go to the West of Paris, towards the Issy Val de Seine train station for a few kilometers walk between the islands of the city, the time to see the last colors of autumn.

The weather has cooled down but it's still possible to go for a walk outside with your family! Put on your hat, coat, gloves and scarf and head for theSaint-Germain island in Issy-les-Moulineaux.

The walk is Pass Navigo friendly, you can, and it is even advised to go there with the RER C, since you have to get off at the Issy-Val de Seine station. You then leave in the direction of the Ile Saint-Germain park, located between the two banks of the Seine. From afar, you can already see Jean Dubuffet's imposing Tour aux figures , a monument as atypical as it is playful, 24 meters high. If you go there on Saturday or Sunday afternoon, you can even visit the Gastrovolve, the mysterious interior of the Tower. Please note: reservations can only be made online and you must respect the time slot of your visit!

After a tour in the park, where you can enjoy the beautiful lawns to play, rest, read in the sun... Head for the exit, to continue a little further on the Ile Saint-Germain. You take the Robinson promenade, then the bucolic Constant Pape promenade before crossing the boulevard des îles (and the bridge) and reaching the Quai de la Bataille de Stalingrad. You walk along the whole of theChemin de Halage and the barges moored on the banks of the Seine and from far away, you can already see theSeguin Island and its futuristic look, with the Seine Musicale overlooking the island. If you are lucky, you will even see barges or cruise ships passing by you when you walk along the quays!
