For Star-gazing nights 2020, the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie holds an astronomic night under the stars. On Friday August 7, 2020, (small) astronomy enthusiasts are invited to observe the sky, comets and to look towards Saturn and Jupiter! As for the complete program, you will still have to wait for a bit, the Cité des Sciences has not shared it yet.
Please note that whatever happens, this event is free of charge and open to all (we know the Cité des sciences is children's favorite place who learn at their own pace thanks to explanations given by mediators!). And to go further, all summer long, the Planétarium de la Cité des Sciences takes you to the very heart of stars, as commented by astronomes!
A planetarium also offering a special night, on Friday August 7, for Star-Gazing Night: at 7 p.m., 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., in partnership with the Association française d'astronomie [French Astronomy Association]. You are invited to gaze at the heavenly vault, build a map of the sky, spot constellations, some artifical satellites and understand shooting stars. Free session by booking.
Moreover, Star-gazing Nights will be held all weekend long so, do not hesitate to have a look at the various places taking part in Star-gazing Nights 2020. This is the perfect occasion to learn more about stars around us and dream a bit in these summer times. Let's go, friends, shall we?
