Seine-et-Marne is stepping up its traffic enforcement efforts in 2026 with the addition of five urban speed cameras and 16 autonomous radar devices. The department (77), which already has 58 speed cameras in place, continues to expand its network in an effort to boost road safety across the region.

A wolf spotted in Seine-et-Marne near Beton-Bazoches

On Wednesday, the Seine-et-Marne prefecture confirmed the presence of a wolf observed near Beton-Bazoches and Saint-Mars-Vieux-Maisons. The French Office for Biodiversity authenticated the tracks found on November 9, 2024, by a farmer. No attacks on livestock have been reported.
