L'Orangerie, Fontainebleau's new guinguette for partying all summer long

The guinguette on the forecourt of Fontainebleau theatre is renewing itself in 2026. Rebranded as L'Orangerie, it opens its arms to visitors through September in Seine-et-Marne with a festive program all summer long. More details to come.

The summer guinguette in Fontainebleau is getting a fresh look this season. After six editions under the banner of L'Éphémère, a new chapter opens on the forecourt of the Fontainebleau Municipal Theatre (Seine-et-Marne), with the arrival of L'Orangerie for the 2026 and 2027 seasons. A name that’s no accident: it directly echoes the orangery at the Château de Fontainebleau, that storied spot for strolls and renewal cherished by the royal court through the centuries. Actu.fr lays out the contours of this renewal.

At the helm of this new project are two familiar faces on the Bellifontaine dining scene: Enguerrand Le Cocq and Quentin Hubert, the duo behind the restaurant Adma, which we had the pleasure to try and were quite impressed by. Situated just a stone’s throw from the guinguette, Adma already champions Mediterranean flavors and a homemade ethos. That same DNA is what they aim to carry into their summer venture. “We wanted to bring something new, while staying true to our own DNA,” they say.

What’s new at Fontainebleau’s guinguette in 2026?

L'Orangerie presents itself as a cross-generational hub, open daily from May through September, with a lineup designed to enliven the long summer evenings. A dedicated stage will welcome artists throughout the season, with concerts slated for every Saturday night. Tastings, themed evenings and a variety of activities round out the program.

On the plate, you’ll find tapas prepared right in the kitchen, in keeping with Adma’s philosophy: local products, homemade fare, and vegan options on the menu, with cheeses and cured meats taking pride of place. A menu of BIO and natural wines accompanies their own beer, orangeades, and non-alcoholic cocktails.

And L'Éphémère, whatever happened to it?

The change comes with its share of emotion. L'Éphémère, dreamed up by Alexandre Halbardier and Brice Sireix during the height of the health crisis, lit up the same plaza for five consecutive seasons, winning every call for proposals issued by the town hall. This year, the bid was not selected. “Since its inception, in the Covid era, we are sad to announce that L'Éphémère has not been chosen,” they wrote on their social networks. The managers, who also helm Triptik and 8.Ball, assure they will reconnect with their audience at their other establishments.

Disappointment is understandable for those who had made L'Éphémère a must‑visit. But that’s also the hallmark of pop‑up venues: they give way to new stories.

Where is L'Orangerie in Fontainebleau located?

The guinguette sets up on the parvis du théâtre de Fontainebleau, in the heart of the city, just a few minutes’ walk from the château de Fontainebleau. A charming backdrop for balmy summer evenings, between monuments and an open-air terrace. Note that L'Orangerie is open from Monday to Sunday, May–September 2026.

To keep up with the schedule and upcoming events, we recommend keeping an eye on the social networks. And if you're looking for other guinguettes in Île-de-France—especially in Seine-et-Marne—follow the guide.
