In the 77, the competition for the best brioche in Seine-et-Marne drew a sizable crowd of bakers once again this year, all eager to showcase their craft. Between a melt-in-the-mouth crumb, a gold glaze, and that distinctive butter aroma, the jury had its work cut out to separate the contenders and crown the top winners of this 2026 edition.
After crowning Grand Paris with the best butter croissant, the best traditional baguettes in Île-de-France, and even the best pain au chocolat in Seine-et-Marne, the spotlight now shifts to the department’s best brioches.
Organized by the Maison de la Boulangerie-Pâtisserie de Seine-et-Marne, this departmental contest gave the jury the chance to observe, smell, and, of course, taste a large number of brioches before unveiling the 2026 winners across all categories.
The Ayden Bakery in Sognolles-en-Montois notches a stylish double this year, clinching first place in classic brioche and the top spot in the apprentices category with Natan Noël. Meanwhile, the Parc Bakery in Chelles also shines, taking the win in laminated brioche and placing two apprentices on the podium.
Congratulations to all the bakers and apprentices who took part in this 2026 edition and showcased their craft. A few tasty detours for pastry lovers in Sognolles-en-Montois, Chelles, or Grisy-Suisnes for fans of viennoiserie in the 77.
