Every year, the international fireworks festival Les Couleurs du Val-d'Oise is one of those events we eagerly look forward to after the break. For its 18th edition, this dazzling festival returns on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at the Enghien-Soisy Hippodrome, in the Val-d'Oise (95). We know this show well, and we can tell you: it’s one of the season’s standout pyrotechnic moments in Île-de-France.
The idea is a bit like the Olympics of fireworks. Each invited pyrotechnician meets the same challenge: to design an original pyro-musical show crafted especially for the festival. The result is a veritable flood of fire, light, and non-stop thunder, propelled by dynamic music.
This year, four countries take to the Val-d'Oise sky. England and China appear at the start of the evening, followed by Canada and France after a musical interlude. Then it’s up to you to decide, as the audience votes at the end of the night.
The organizer Dreams Stars Events opens the doors at 6:30 PM, for an evening that runs until 11:15 PM. Here is the festival program (for information only and subject to changes):
Around 11 p.m., the audience vote gets under way, selecting the two top acts for the grand final of 2028. A neat way to keep the suspense alive from one edition to the next.
On the ticket side, several options await you. The lawn area is €25 (free for children under 6), seating on chairs is €30 (€12 for under-6s), and seating in the Carré d’Or grandstand is €40 (€17 for under-6s). Reservation is available in pre-sale on FNAC, Ticketmaster and Weezevent, or directly on the festival’s official site. A box office is also open at the racecourse ticket desk on Saturday, September 12, from 16:00 to 21:30.
The Enghien-Soisy Hippodrome is located in Soisy-sous-Montmorency, about a 30-minute drive north of Paris. Good news for everyone: the site is fully wheelchair accessible. Be sure to arrive early, as the gates close permanently at 10 p.m.
Food and drinks aren’t allowed at the entrance (a catering area is available on site), and neither are bottles, folding chairs, or any items that could pose a danger. A staffed cloakroom and security screening are in operation at the entrance. Also note that the festival proceeds only if weather conditions permit.
Our crowd-pleasing moment? That point when the audience becomes a jury and the atmosphere lifts a notch right before the favourites are announced. This evening suits families (with free entry for little ones on the lawn) as well as fans of pyrotechnics and curious souls seeking a spectacular outing near Paris. Our simple tip: slide a light cardigan into your bag—September evenings can get chilly once night falls.
