Contes et Histoires 2025 in Paris: tours, workshops, and Christmas shows for the whole family at the Hôtel de la Marine

Contes et Histoires is an event created by the Centre des Monuments Nationaux to offer families an enriched programof activities and unusual tours for children during the Christmas holidays. During this 2025 edition, visitors can enjoy the activities and tours scheduled to (re)discoverthe Hôtel de la Marine and its treasures.

For this new edition,the Hôtel de la Marine invites us to join them during the Christmas holidays from December 19, 2025, to January 4, 2026. The monument, located on Place de la Concorde in the 8th arrondissement, has prepared a full program for visitors of all ages. Tours, storytelling, workshops, discoveries: everything you need to keep yourself entertained during the Christmas holidays.

Through these activities, the Hôtel de la Marine reveals its rich history, lets us admire its collections ofworks of art and precious objects, and entertains us with playful workshops that will leave lasting memories with your little ones.

WORKSHOPS

• Workshop tour: A jewel to say "I love you"
  After discovering the superb treasures of the Dynastic Jewels from the Al Thani Collection exhibition, it's your turn to make a unique piece of jewelry to keep as a reflection of your feelings.

• Workshop: Feather pen greeting cards
  After visiting the elegant stewards' apartments, it's time to get creative! As a family, learn how to write with a feather pen and compose your greetings as they did in the Age of Enlightenment.

• Family tour: Draw me a jewel
  Immerse yourselves in the fascinating world of the "Dynastic Jewels" of the Al Thani collection with an interactive tour specially designed for children and their parents. Explore the stories and secrets of precious jewels while awakening your creativity.

• Story: The Journeys of the Blue Diamond
  Let us tell you the incredible story of the Bleu de France, the famous blue diamond of the Crown. Travel through 300 years of history on a journey full of mysteries, from India to the United States.

• Christmas carols and music
  Come celebrate the magic of the holidays with Christmas carols at the Hôtel de la Marine! Once a week in December, let yourself be enchanted by festive melodies, including traditional carols, gospel, and bossa nova.

• New Year's Ball
  To start 2026 in style, the Hôtel de la Marine invites you to an enchanting ball with a Second Empire theme. The Carnet de Bals association will take over the main courtyard and state rooms for a ball worthy of the most beautiful receptions held at the Hôtel de la Marine.
