The Science Festival is back in Paris and the Île-de-France region, from October 2 to 12, 2026. Check out the program, activities, and free workshops that will introduce you to science, in Ivry-sur-Seine.

Every October, a major national event invites us to fall in love with science. Think it’s impossible? Give it a try! The Fête de la Science brings hundreds of happenings to life in museums, schools, laboratories and other hubs of knowledge. Many cities participate in this educational milestone, which runs from 2 to 12 October 2026.

The Science Festival is a popular event that is both playful and educational, aimed at both children and adults. At these celebrations, curious attendees are invited to discover science in all its facets through games, encounters, talks, tours, and workshops... All branches of science are represented, from mathematics to chemistry, including astronomy, robotics, geology, and medicine... This year, the theme centers on the "Saveurs Savantes", giving a prominent place to food in the debate and the scientific program of this Science Festival 2026.

For this 2026 edition, residents of the Val-de-Marne are invited to Ivry-sur-Seine, a town on the inner ring of Paris near the 13th arrondissement. The city of the 94 hosts a range of activities for both kids and adults during these autumn science days. Discover the program!

Cinéma Le Luxy

  • The Little People of the Vegetable Garden!

Here's the story of a vegetable garden, chosen by its owner to grow without pesticides! An opportunity to learn more about the inhabitants of this remarkable place, whose lives are far richer than we might think… No doubt: here, the film’s stars aren’t the humans but the insects. If the fascinating Microcosmos let us get very close to them, Guilaine Bergeret and Rémi Rappe have chosen to guide us through the everyday life of these tiny creatures, across the seasons. They deliver one of nature’s great lessons — from the installation of a queen bumblebee in her winter home to the birth of baby snails — reminding us that, in the garden as elsewhere, there’s no point in destroying; it’s all about balance!
Screening followed by a honey tasting with the Ivry-based APAI association and a playful workshop led by the City’s science mediator.
