Fête de la Science 2025: free events and workshops at the Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace

What could be better than the Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace for a successful Fête de la Science? This cultural event offers a host of exceptional activities throughout the Paris region, all free of charge. On the program, you and your family can meet scientists, discover advances in research and enjoy hundreds of conferences, workshops and other events that put Science at the forefront. Join us at Le Bourget on October 5, 2025 for a day out of the ordinary!

This museum invites you to discover its collections on aviation and aeronautics. Created in 1919 by Albert Caquot, a brilliant French engineer of the time, the collection was officially inaugurated in 1921 in Chalais-Meudon, then in 1936 in the 15th arrondissement of Paris. Closed by the Germans during the Second World War, the museum resurfaced in 1973, having moved to Le Bourget. The opening ofRoissy-Charles-De-Gaulle airport in 1974 freed up space to repatriate more pieces to the museum's hangars.

Nearly 400 objects are on display in 16 rooms and 4,000m2, including model aircraft, the gondola from the La France airship, the Antoinette Type VII aeroplane and the Grand Prix d'Aviation cup dating from 1910, not to mention dozens of aircraft and rockets that can be seen up close. The Boeing 747, A380, Concorde, Ariane 1 and Ariane 5, Super Frelon helicopter and Douglas C-47A American warplane are also on display, and you can even climb aboard!
